DESERTS

Deserts are made for minimalist photography. With little to distract the eye, simple shapes, lines, light and shadow become the subject. These images reduce the vast desert landscape to its essential elements – sometimes almost to the point of abstraction.

Unlike my painterly work, these are straightforward photographs. There is no intentional camera movement or multiple exposure involved. What you see is simply what was there, carefully framed and reduced to what matters.

Medium: Fine-art photography. Single exposure, without AI and with minimal post-processing.
